I agree with you that people keeping themselves accountable is out of our control. What I'm trying to say is that overall, parents who choose to have kids, need to hold themselves accountable. They can complain and confess that they didn't really want to have kids but ultimately, they chose to do so, and need to hold themselves accountable. No one outside of them can hold them accountable. I just hope that more people hold themselves accountable and we create consequences and mechanisms to hold others accountable. For me personally, I choose not to surround myself with those who do not hold themselves accountable.
